I created this image to show how reflections change on the metal leaf elements with differing angles of lighting; a series of layers showing how the painting “turns off and on” with the
different light angles.

Hearts in San Francisco
Honored by committee, I was selected to design a heart for San Francisco General Hospital's annual fundraiser. Continuing the Hearts in San Francisco series, these Hearts are made of fiberglass and stand 5' tall x 5' 9" wide x 3' 3" thick 3-D

My design, entitled "Always Hope" has an under-painting of vibrant acrylics that are enhanced with a covering of torn copper leaf. The work has been on display at Union Square through September 2009, at which time it will be delivered to its new owners at Intel for their San Mateo CA lobby.

An invitation to show at a San Rafael restaurant, Café Arrivederci turned out to be a nice opportunity to exhibit several works for my neighbors to the North. Also, I was a guest speaker at their weekly salon. We met with a full room of some of the local arts community and enjoyed a lively exchange.

I am pleased to be a part of the Art House Encyclopedia project: The goal of the exhibition is to create a visual encyclopedia using mini canvases and artists from all over the world. The project will be exhibited in the Airport Atrium for six weeks, and then travel to the Art House Gallery in Atlanta's arts district, Castleberry Hill.
Exhibition is at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

"Big Boy Toys" : a one man show at Magnet, San Francisco, CA

The show is up the whole month of December.
Presenting a series of new work (experiments with mixed media) focusing a new twist inspired by "action figure" dolls. I took this year to develop a series very different from my traditionally abstract paintings. This has been a fun opportunity to liven up through a whole new fresh direction.
