Techniques with multi-layered transparent sprays and washes create new atmospheres to explore and discover. An approach that I employ in my work is the restrained layering of transparent washes, which gives the canvas a smooth fresh finish. The visual texture provided by a variety of spray methods suggests molecules and the cosmos, while portals and nature inspired elements bring my feet back on the ground.

I am seeking a meditational simplicity that reflects and honors the peace my inspiration bestows upon me. My intent is that these "portals" may share with the viewer a sense of spiritual peace, which I feel needs to be emphasized and enhanced, now more than ever.
